Three illustrations I created for LUX magazine, revealing the harsh reality of women in prison and shedding light on systemic issues in prison healthcare and societal injustices. It's gut-wrenching to see how these women endure physical pain and emotional distress while seeking medical help, only to face humiliation and disregard from healthcare providers. The root cause lies in societal problems, worsened by profit-driven companies slashing costs at the expense of these unseen, vulnerable women.
As a female illustrator, I feel a responsibility to spark conversations about justice, compassion, and human dignity through my artwork.
